Douglasdale CPF announces Sector 1, 2, 3 and 4 committee members
Successful elections were held in recent weeks whereby community members were nominated and then elected into their various portfolios.

The Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) has elected new office bearers who will hold the positons for the next five years.
CPF chairperson Lizzy Mabena has congratulated all of the new committee members and welcomes them into the crime-busting community. Douglasdale station commander Brigadier Veeshani Arikum was present and said he and his members are looking forward to working with the newly elected committee members for the benefit of the broarder Douglasdale community.

Thabo Thipe of the Department of Community Safety was present across the events to support the processes and encourage the new committees. He also explained the role of a CPF and gave an overview of the election processes and proceedures.
Sector 1
Nominations were put forward for the elections on July 30 at the North Rand Methodist Church.

Michael Tuck was elected as chairperson, his deputy is Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg. Josephine Mohideen is the new secretary, and her deputy secretary is Samantha Pittendrigh. Charlene Vergote was appointed public relations officer, and the new patrol co-ordinator is Emile Barnard.
Sector 2
The committee elections at the Christian Revival Church on August 16.

Morné Coetzee was elected as chairperson, with Keorapetse Ruele his deputy. Julia Moima is the new secretary, and the new deputy secretary is Lizzy Mabena. Colin Pocock was appointed public relations officer, and the new patrol co-ordinator is Jan Mokhethi.
Sector 3 committee elections took place on August 3, at the Indaba Hotel.

Madeleine Bruckmann was elected as chairperson, the deputy chairperson is David Weyers. Rudy Lingenfelder is the new secretary, and the new deputy secretary is Elaine Cordier. Basil Dix was appointed public relations officer, and the new patrol co-ordinator is Richard Daley.
Sector 4 was held on August 13, at the Lonehill Village Church.

Reza Bardien was announced as the new chairperson and Sebastian Hills as the new deputy chairperson. Phillipa Parsons was elected as the new secretary and Blessed Ndaba as deputy secretary. Freda Boile was named the new public relations and André Lingenfelder as patrol co-ordinator.
Both Mabena and Veeshani thanked the various venues for hosting them.
