Crossroads School holds out of this world swimming gala
With houses like Venus, Mars, and Pluto, the Crossroads School's interhouse swimming gala was out of this world.
In an epic display of determination and community spirit, Crossroads School held its annual interhouse swimming gala, which saw houses, Venus and Mars, tie with 159 points, and Pluto come in with 135 points.

For the school, this is more than just a sporting event; it is a celebration of determination, inclusivity, and community spirit. The school’s marketing manager, Jenni Caister-Carbonari, said while healthy competition is certainly encouraged, it is also about giving all learners, regardless of their swimming abilities, the chance to participate, grow, and shine in a supportive environment.
“For the learners, the gala provides a unique opportunity to challenge themselves in a safe and welcoming space. At Crossroads, every stroke counts, and every effort is celebrated,” she said. This approach fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence, allowing students to recognise and take pride in their personal achievements, no matter how big or small.

At such events, parents, teachers, and peers play a vital role in creating an uplifting atmosphere, through their unwavering support, motivation, and cheers of encouragement, which help ensure that every child feels valued and capable.
