Held at Northcliff’s Over the Moon Guest House, the invite had guests tickled pink as they all came dressed in the colour. The club’s president, Ragu Govender shared how this event was a simple yet heartfelt thank you, acknowledging the efforts that have made such a profound impact on the community.

“The event saw the attendance of a diverse range of stakeholders, all of whom play a crucial role in our ability to continue our work. These relationships are invaluable to Northcliff Rotary, and we deeply appreciate the ongoing support we receive from business leaders, community activists, and dedicated volunteers,” said Govender.
He added that maintaining these connections was essential, as each of these individuals and organisations offered unique perspectives and expertise that helped them enhance and expand their projects, ultimately enriching the lives of those they served.

Through collaboration with these stakeholders, the club has been able to achieve a variety of meaningful initiatives – whether it’s providing essential resources to those in need, offering education and development programmes, or simply lending a hand to improve the lives of individuals in their community.

When Govender reflects on the spirit of Rotary, he often thinks about what drives someone to join the organisation. “For many, it’s the desire to make a tangible difference in the world. The sense of community, the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals, and the ability to create positive change are key motivators for joining Rotary.”
For others, he added, it would be to share their skillset and to follow their passions outside of their chosen profession.
He sees the club as a place where people come together, united by the shared goal of improving lives and spreading hope.
