King David learner talks his way into a win
Daniel Segal, a Grade 11 learner at King David Victory Park High School, won the prestigious Mikolot Public Speaking Competition semi-finals, earning him a place to represent SA at the international finals in Australia in August.
King David Victory Park High School celebrated the remarkable achievement of Grade 11 learner Daniel Segal, following his triumph at the prestigious Mikolot Public Speaking Competition semi-finals.

This international contest draws talented speakers from Jewish schools across the globe, and Daniel’s victory secures him a coveted spot, representing South Africa at the international finals to be held in Australia this August.

This comes while the school still basks in the glory of last year’s Mikolot success, where their exceptional master of ceremonies Joshua Woolf brought back the gold. This makes an astounding two consecutive years the school has produced a champion in this highly competitive arena.
The school community is bursting with pride for Daniel’s incredible accomplishment, and extended heartfelt congratulations to all their dedicated participants: Lior Hyman, Abigail Barna, Ella Passman, and Galia Woolf.
