DLSHCC takes the RSA spirit to the USA
Some of the schools cheerleaders shook their pom-poms all the way to Orlando, Florida to cheer on the world stage.
De La Salle Holy Cross College (DLSHCC) cheerleaders shone on the world stage recently in the Cheerleading Worlds 2025, held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

With six teams and 135 athletes representing South Africa, the event is described as a true celebration of athleticism, discipline, and unity. Among these rising stars were 12 outstanding learners from DLSHCC, who carried not only the hopes of their school but the flag of the nation with pride and energy.

Adding to the pride was teacher Tevin Nkwe, who was the coach and athlete himself.
The event brought together some of the best cheerleading teams from across the globe, which allowed these learners to experience elite-level competition and camaraderie.

“To see our pupils perform on an international stage was nothing short of inspiring. Their determination, sportsmanship, and talent are a reflection of everything we stand for at De La Salle Holy Cross College,” said Nkwe.

The school is incredibly proud of each of their cheerleaders and Nkwe for their commitment, energy, and excellent representation of their college and country. The school sees their journey as a shining example of how passion, teamwork, and dedication can take you across the world and straight into the spotlight.
