University of Johannesburg runners make podium at University Sport South Africa (USSA) Cross-Country Championships

The Orange Army once again proved its consistency, taking bronze in a tightly contested race behind the University of Pretoria and North-West University.

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) Athletics team delivered an impressive performance at the University Sport South Africa Cross-Country Championships.

UJ secured a commendable third-place overall finish. The Orange Army bagged eight medals – one gold, five silver, and two bronze – finishing just two medals short of the overall winners, the University of Pretoria. North-West University (Potchefstroom) came second. UJ’s gold medal came from an impressive performance of the men’s 10km team, leading the charge for the university.
