Hotel Hope Ministries is back on the road as Supergroup donates them two new minibuses

The donation aims to assist with safe and reliable transport through Hotel Hope's day-to-day activities.

Ready to ferry the organisation’s children and staff wherever they need, Hotel Hope Ministries got a much needed boost of two brand-new Fiat 9-seater minibuses on October 3.

Oliver Quambusch, the founder of Hotel Hope, couldn’t hide his excitement. “These two new minibuses completely transform our daily operations.”

The charity had been relying on its old workhorses, each clocking nearly 300 000km after years of tireless service. Now, with reliable, safe, and fuel-efficient transport in place, the team can keep up their essential runs – from shuttling kids to school, clinics, and therapy sessions, to picking up smaller donations for their charity shops.

Quambusch emphasised how crucial this is for their ongoing mission to provide orphaned and abandoned children with a loving home and a hopeful future. “The new vehicles ensure we can continue this vital work, safely and efficiently for years to come.”

For a non-profit where every rand matters, footing the bill for such an upgrade would have been out of reach. “We’re deeply moved and grateful. This gift feels like a huge blessing and a wonderful reminder that we’re not alone in this mission.”

The donation comes from Supergroup, a key player in the transport and logistics industry, whose generosity has left a real mark.

Quambusch praised their approach. “Their professionalism throughout this process has been truly inspiring.”

What stands out most for the team? The peace of mind these modern rides bring. “Knowing our children and caregivers are traveling in reliable minibuses gives us immense comfort. We’re also thankful that Supergroup saw value in what we do, and chose to invest in our cause.”

In a time when support for vulnerable kids is more vital than ever, this gesture from corporate South Africa shines as a prime example of businesses making a difference. Hotel Hope, which supports dozens of children through education, healthcare, and community programmes, says the minibuses will keep their operations humming without a hitch.

As Quambusch put it: “It’s a beautiful reminder of the good that comes from stepping up together.”
