Collaboration between security companies yields success

SCP Security and EC Security bring suspects to book.

An SCP Security guard noticed occupants of a white Toyota Fortuner attempting to steal a car from a shopping mall in Northcliff.

The suspects saw the guard approaching on foot when they decided to flee the scene. SCP head Clive Maher said, “The guard noted the vehicle registration number and immediately relayed the details to our control room who then sent out an alert to our security network, and a lookout was issued.”

The five suspects lie in the road after being intercepted by private security.

Within an hour the vehicle was spotted by EC Security in Wilro Park in Roodepoort and after a short chase, which included Help24 Security, the suspects were intercepted and stopped.

Signal jammers were recovered at the scene.

Maher said, “Five suspects were arrested, false number plates seized and two vehicle jammers were recovered. This is a great result and shows the importance of collaboration between security companies.”
