Horticultural Society to host April meeting on vegetable gardening
The group meets monthly to listen to lectures, buy plants and spend time with gardening enthusiasts in the city.

The Horticultural Society of Johannesburg is hosting an informative and enjoyable talk on vegetable gardening at the end of the month.
The 105-year-old group meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday of each month on different topics with an array of cheap but good quality plants on sale.

Member Eunice Summersell said, “We have speakers for each event and cover topics like working with indigenous plants, attracting bees to your garden, working with colourful blooms and so much more. We are also a good group to be a part of for any advice you may need for your gardening projects.”
Their April gathering will host local expert Jane Griffiths who will talk about growing vegetables and herbs for those who wish to learn more about harvesting their own crops at home.

Date: April 26
Time: 09:30
Venue: Roosevelt Park Recreation Centre, Preller Drive
Cost: Free to members or R30 to visitors
