Community invited to Emmarentia RA AGM
The chairperson hopes people will turn out in numbers as important issues affecting the suburb are discussed.
The Emmarentia Residents Association (ERA) will host its 2023 AGM on September 6.
“A wide variety of topics will be covered during the meeting that are important to our community,” said Claire Hoffmann.
Issues specifically raised for discussion are:
- Rising costs of rates and services despite never-ending water leaks, potholes, broken traffic lights and power outages
- Homeless people in green spaces
- Crime and lawlessness
- Building being done in the area without the required plans being approved by the city
- Spruit Action Collective
- General projects and initiatives in the area and beyond.

Chairperson Ayanda Mjekula said all residents are welcome and they ‘hope for a full house’.
