Studio Mukheli opens for art lovers
The studio was recently opened and houses art that speaks to the artists heritage, experiences, and culture.
Local art lovers had more to celebrate recently when they headed to 44 Stanley to mark the opening of twin brothers, Fhatuwani and Justice Mukheli’s studio, Studio Mukheli.
Courvoisier, celebrated this success with the talented duo. The opening of Studio Mukheli, which took place on September 25, is described as one that aligns seamlessly with the spirit of Heritage Day, celebrating the rich cultural diversity that defines South Africa.

Studio Mukheli, the brainchild of these two visionary brothers, represents a new chapter in their artistic journey. Fhatuwani and Justice Mukheli, known for their genius in art and photography, are now adding film direction to their repertoire, solidifying their position as multi-talented artists. The studio will serve as their creative sanctuary, allowing them to work both independently and collaboratively.
At the heart of the studio launch was an awe-inspiring art exhibition featuring pieces crafted during the Mukheli brothers’ European summer travels. These artworks, ranging from A4 to A3 in size, are a testament to their dedication to their craft. Each piece, priced between R5 000 and R10 000, is a visual journey inspired by their recent adventures.

In a heartfelt reflection on the significance of their work, Fhatuwani said, “Art plays a huge role in us portraying our heritage. My art portrays my people, my childhood experiences, and the beauty of our culture. I love drawing portraits of beautiful African women to celebrate our people.”
