The society lovingly invites you to join them on February 14 at the Ditsong Museum of Military History where you will find yourself in the company of Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Celeste Holm with a special appearance by Louis ‘Satchmo’ Armstrong as they screen High Society – a 1956 American musical romantic comedy film.
With timeless melodies of Cole Porter sure to have you relive the ‘golden era’ of movies. The film is based on the award-winning Broadway triumph, The Philadelphia Story, in which Academy Award winner, Grace Kelly’s, ex-husband, Crosby, arrives on the eve of her wedding while followed by reporters Sinatra and Holm, the ‘swell party’ begins. This was Kelly’s last feature before becoming Princess Grace of Monaco. The movie also features the song True Love, which was a song made famous by Kelly and Crosby.
Following the screening there will be the serving of a tea.
