Thato Mokoena: It’s a 50/50 situation. First people can say voting is useless cause there’s no change which I also agree with. Hence I don’t vote cause it is useless to even wake up early and still in 5 years still no difference.
With the elections looming some people are saying voting means nothing and changes nothing. We asked community members what they thought.

Hence I don’t vote cause it is useless to even wake up early and still in 5 years still no difference.Faith Modise: To some people, voting means nothing and changes nothing because they do not take a stand and vote. If South Africans take a stand and vote for justice, we would’ve brought the change we deserve.Future Moyo: I wouldnt blame people who say voting changes nothing. Almost all the political parties that won democracy for their country are still in power. In South Africa, it is the older people that vote because they still feel obligated to the ruling party.Andile Banda: Voting does mean something to those who want change because even if you as a politician win the elections the margins in which you win will influence you to pull up your socks and do better.
