Film society to screen intimate portrait of Liza Minnelli

In keeping with their run of thought provoking and enlightening documentaries, the Historic Documentary Film Society will be screening a documentary about Oscar, Tony, and Emmy winner Liza Minnelli.

On August 13, the Historic Documentary Film Society will screen a documentary the society describes as: An intimate portrait of Oscar, Tony, and Emmy award winner Liza Minnelli.

Co-founder of the society Selwyn Klass said, in the footsteps of her legendary mother, Judy Garland, and distinguished director father, Vincente Minnelli, Liza was born for the spotlight. Beyond the glitz and glamour, trials and tribulations, Liza today navigates both professional and personal challenges, with the unwavering support of her most trusted friends and mentors.

Klass said Minnelli’s motivation, both mentally and physically, continues to mould her character as an enduring legend reflecting her tenacity of spirit and timeless talent. “Liza, as you’ve never seen before, both inspires and illuminates a showbiz rarity whose name says it all.”
