DLSHCC Junior School plans to grab 2026
The school's principal, Dr Marisa Di Terlizzi, shares on her hope for the school community in the coming year.
It was a 2025 filled with growth and milestones achieved at De La Salle Holy Cross College (DLSHCC) Junior School.
Now, as they look forward to 2026, head of school Dr Marisa Di Terlizzi expresses her great hopes for this great new year.
Here is what she had to say:
As we begin a new chapter in 2026, we look forward with great anticipation. It is an exciting year for our school, celebrating 40 years since the amalgamation of two schools, De La Salle Boys’ School and Holy Cross Convent to form De La Salle Holy Cross College.

In the year to come we look forward to sharing our stories, reveling in memories, and setting our sights on what the next 40 years holds in store, as we continue to fulfil the mission of our founders.
I look forward to welcoming both our new and returning families and staff, and working together to create an environment that celebrates childhood, one where our pupils are surrounded by love and care, for it is through this that children best learn, play, and thrive.
I hope that, in 2026, we all stretch a little more, try new things, take more responsible risks, and remember to laugh.
I hope that we continue to make God a priority. Allow time for Him in our busy days, and that we thank Him in moments of gratitude. I hope that we remain focused on the opportunities around us and seize them with hope and gratitude.

Personally, I look forward to seeing each pupil embrace their goals and ambitions, and that we, as staff, continue to work to make a difference in their lives, and help them to shape the future they aim to create.
I hope to support our teachers, who give so much of themselves in their work, and that together we can broker hope for a new generation of South Africans.
