Police investigate Northcliff woman’s disappearance as specialised task team continues search efforts
Authorities and private security teams are continuing the search for missing Northcliff attorney Alex Van Heerden as police appeal for information from the public.
Police are investigating the disappearance of 26-year-old Alex Van Heerden after she was reported missing in Northcliff on August 5.
Van Heerden was last seen on Mimosa Road wearing a white dress and white jacket.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed that a case has been opened and investigations are ongoing. According to Mahmood Cassim, of the Vulnerable Citizen Support Initiative (VCSI), a dedicated task team comprising SAPS members and private security personnel has been working around the clock in an effort to locate Van Heerden.
Cassim said several public appeals have been circulated to assist with the investigation, although one flyer has since been withdrawn and members of the public have been requested not to continue sharing it.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact the investigating officer at Fairland SAPS.
