NOTICE OF DEMOLITION/ALTERATION/REFURBISHMENT PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE PROPOSED DEMOLITION OF REDUNDANT STRUCTURES AND CLOSURE OF THE UNDERGROUND WORKINGS OF THE EZULWINI OPERATIONS AT SIBANYE GOLD MINE SITUATED WITHIN THE RAND WEST CITY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, WEST RAND DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, IN THE GAUTENG PROVINCE
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 34 of the National Heritage Resources Act (Act 25 of 1999) that the Sibanye Gold Mine intends to demolish redundant structures and close off the underground workings of the eZulwini Operations at Sibanye Gold mine situated within the Rand West City Local Municipality, West Rand District Municipality, in the Gauteng Province. The development is initiated to eradicate dilapidated redundant structures within the mining area. In terms of Section 34 of the NHRA, an application for a demolition/alteration/refurbishment permit for buildings older than 60 years (historic buildings) is submitted to, the Provincial Heritage Resource Authority-Gauteng.
