All the best to the matrics

BRIXTON – Resident Zane Mdluli gives matric pupils words of encouragement for their final exam.

Zane Mdluli of Brixton writes:

As you are all going to write the final examination next month, I wish you the best. You are near to the turning point of your life, make it worthwhile.

It was not easy for people like me to write my final examination, but I told myself that I have to give the best in order to make my life change drastically. I didn’t want to settle for less, I wanted to pass with higher marks so that I can go to university.

Lifestyle has changed today; people are striving to be in universities. People want to live a luxurious life. I personally believe that even yourself, you want to see yourself as a well-recognised person in the community you are living in.

This is the chance of a lifetime where it will determine your future, for you will be that person you’ve longed to be since Grade R until now – you need to work hard for it now while time is still on your side. You might have started your years of schooling very hard, but let it end with a joyful flow.

Never give up even though you might not make it through, you are only old when you surrender.

Failing is a part of learning, in addition, to fail doesn’t mean you have made it, but it’s an indication that you need to go the extra mile more than before.
