Racing duo take on Mopar Series 1 Hour Endurance Race

LINDEN – Racing duo race their home built car for the first time at the Mopar Series 1 Hour Endurance Race.

Father and son duo, Nicholas and Ronald van Weely are a winning team when it comes to motor racing.

They will debut their homemade racer Van Weely Special NR001 at Kyalami on 2 December, in the Mopar Series 1 hour endurance race.

Nicholas was the South African Drivers and Formula Volkswagen Champion in 2013.

The car is powered by a two-litre VW engine and has a six-speed sequential gearbox. They are excited at the prospect of racing their machine for the first time.
