Growing Champions end their season with a 5–1 victory over Florida FC

NORTHCLIFF – Ending off the season with a bang.

Growing Champions (GC) Football Club has added another win to their impressive season.

In their final league game of the season, GC faced Florida Albion Football Club. Right from the first whistle, GC had full control of the game and ultimately won the match 5–1.

Wandile Billing adds another goal to his season tally as his team Growing Champions beats Florida Albion Football Club 5–1.

 

Goals from Wandile Billings and Lungani Mbatha and a brilliant performance from the team gave them the best way to end their season.

This concluded the 2018 U19 Rand Central League in which the team had their best performance in recent years.

The players of GC were ecstatic with the result of the match and their performance throughout the season.

The team’s right-back, Neo Ramatlotlo said “The hard work we put in really showed in our game. We controlled it from the first minute all the way to the last minute, we deserved the win.”

His teammate, Lungani Mbatha, thanked his coaches for all the effort and patience they had put in.

He said, “The coaches have changed us, they pushed me to my fullest potential because before I got here I was always shy but now things have changed.”

The new season kicks off next year and GC hopes to have an even better campaign.
