Varsity Cup final hopes

BRAAMFONTEIN – Which one of the City of Gold's universities will make it the furthest in this year's Varsity Cup?

Fans of both Wits University and the University of Johannesburg were out in their numbers to back their boys for their Varsity Cup clash on 10 February.

The Johannesburg derby ended in celebrations for the home team and fans as Wits beat UJ 7–6. Wits is off to a hot start this season as they have won both of their opening games while UJ is in the exact opposite position after losing both theirs.

Wits currently sits in second spot on the log while UJ occupy eight position. Luckily for Wits, they can take it a little bit easy as they do not have a game scheduled on 17 February but will use this time to prepare as they will host North-West University (NWU) on 24 February.
