Being selected to compete at the Junior Golf World Championships in North Carolina, USA has been amazing to her because this is a great opportunity for her career.

A Seven-year-old girl from Fairland, north of Johannesburg, made her community and parents proud when she was chosen to represent South Africa at the Junior Golf World Championships in North Carolina, USA

Zulé Richter is a Grade 1 learner at Laerskool Fairland. This young star started competing in golf about a year ago and she never looked back. Zulé has already been invited to more than 40 international competitions since she started playing golf.

“I am happy that I was given this opportunity and I cannot wait to compete against the best in the world”, said Zulé.

“The exposure this tournament gives her is priceless. Not only the fact that she can compete against the best in the world, but also the life lessons to be learned on the golf course and the privilege of representing her country and meeting new friends from all over the world”, said Ryno Richer, her father.

Her father told the Northcliff Melville Times that he is extremely proud but at the same time overwhelmed because such an opportunity does not come often and unfortunately, it comes with a lot of financial implications on their side. He added that Zulé does not have any sponsors for her trips and because she is still young, she needs someone who will travel with her and this causes the expenses to double on their side.

This young star is hoping to make her country, community and parents proud as she going to compete with the best around the world. The competition will be from August 3-5 and we wish her all the best.
