Totalsports Women’s Race 2026 brings pink power and sisterhood to Emmarentia

From elite athletes to first-time runners, women brought energy, determination and plenty of sisterhood to the streets of Emmarentia.

There may have been plenty of pink on the streets, but it was the determination, energy and tenacity of runners and walkers that truly stood out at the Totalsports Women’s Race 2026.

Held in celebration of Women’s Month, the Johannesburg leg brought women of all ages together for the 5km and 10km routes through Emmarentia, combining fitness, community spirit and plenty of sisterhood along the way.

With their cadence set to full-throttle power, participants took on the scenic route before making their way to Marks Park, where the post-race atmosphere was filled with camaraderie, laughter and celebration.

The race also allowed elite athletes to showcase their talent, with South African runner Glenrose Xaba powering her way to first place in a time of 32:11.

Kenyan runner Brenda Kenei crossed the finish line shortly afterwards in 32:28, while Cacisile Sosibo rounded off the top three in 34:01.

Johannesburg was the final stop on the Totalsports Women’s Race circuit after earlier legs in Durban and Cape Town, bringing the series to a spirited conclusion.

It was about women showing up, pushing themselves and celebrating one another — all while turning Emmarentia into a sea of pink and proving that when women move together, the energy is impossible to miss.
