POOR service and total disregard to the public’s needs, are some of the words a Vryheid Herald reader used to express his dissatisfaction with the Bhekuzulu Clinic.
According to this reader, on Saturday, February 14, he asked his sister to take his three year-old daughter to the clinic as her nose had been bleeding for two consecutive days.
The child also needed to be vaccinated and he was uncertain whether this was the cause for the bleeding.
He said that his sister sat at the clinic for two hours with the bleeding child receiving no help.
“The nurses were just sitting around and talking,” he said.
This reader says that he feels that these nurses were undermining them and failed to do their jobs properly.
According to the Clinic Committee’s secretary they were not aware of the matter, as it was not reported to them.
She did however say that they would look into it and that the clinic manager would be notified.
