The 38-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of his girlfriend in Mondlo is due to appear in court again today (August 18).

Suspect made first court appearance

The suspect first appeared in court on August 12 following his arrest in connection with the woman’s death. He is accused of attacking and strangling the woman after allegedly discovering WhatsApp messages that indicated she was involved in an affair.

Daughter discovered mother’s body

After being abandoned at the roadside, the woman’s 24-year-old daughter discovered her mother’s body in the back of a bakkie. She alerted police, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
