Residents again up in arms over ‘braai party’ in Coronation Park
This is why they don't like Mondays.

Residents in the McKenzie, Handley and Coronation Streets areas are this morning again up in arms after a weekend after partying left the infamous Coronation Park in a mess.
Those who contacted the Courier said parties moved in on Saturday and Sunday with one party ‘replacing another with rapidity’.
“The loud music duffed-duffed through our houses on Sunday afternoon. People were braaing on the pavement and drinking in public. Surely this is illegal?
“Police did not answer the phone. We did call our town Councillor and we hope he can help us,” said one resident who declined to be named.

They said cars poured into the park without ‘any thought or consideration for neighbours’.
“This morning the mess is unbelievable. Green bottles everywhere, the remnants of the braais – just a disgusting sight.”
Residents said they wanted to know why this is the only park in the town not to be fenced off.
“The parks in Peacevale, Forestdale and Sibongile are all fenced off to keep out anti-social activities. How can our kids play in the park with drinking in public going on?”
Another resident who called in said she feared that ‘very soon people will take the law into their own hands with dreadful consequences’.
