Battlefields Marathon

Comrades hopefuls – the Battlefields Marathon might be your lifeline.

March 5 will see the return of the annual combination marathon, hosted by the Newcastle Harriers from Hutten Park Primary School.

As before, four categories are open for entry. Starting small with the five kilometre run, participants can try their hand at the 10km and 21,1km, or pursue glory in the 42,2km event.

Runners and walkers are welcome in all the above events. Temporary licenses are available for the three longest categories, at R25, and the closing date for entries is February 26.

Organisers stated fabulous spot prizes would be up for grabs as well.
