Course warms up with Winterfestival

Avid golfers convened at Kilbarchan Golf Club last weekend for the annual Winter Festival Golf Day.

Despite the effects of the season’s meagre rainfall on the greens, golfers seemed to enjoy playing on the course, encouraged by a slight breeze.

John Mcgregor and Dons de Kock claimed first prize, while Wayne Krog and Wayne Meikle-Braes took second, and ‘pros’ Ben Chowles and Hennie Pelser took third.

The club thanked the Vodacom Winter Festival committee for choosing to host the event at the course again this year.

It also extended an invitation to golfers to attend the Club Championships scheduled for April 11 and 12.
