January 16 to 18 – The Glencoe HinduTemple, together with Guru Krishnamoorthy, wishes to extend a hearty welcome to all for the Maha Kumba Abishegam ceremony.
The Maha Kumba Abishegam ceremony (Consecration of Moorthies) will take place from January 16 to January 18 at the Glencoe Hindu Temple. This, first of its kind in Glencoe, and the celebration occurs every 12 years only.
The ceremony will be attended by many priests from far and wide, including Canada, and Sri Lanka, as well as local priests and the Consul General of India, R Raghunathan. Lunch and supper will be provided.
Bus services will also be provided to all those wishing to attend on January 18 only. A bus will pick up passengers wishing to attend starting in Newcastle, at the Paradise Hindu Temple at 5.30am, thereafter in Dannhauser, at the Dannhauser Hindu Temple at 6.30am and in Dundee at the Dundee Hindu Temple
at 7.30am. The bus service will be rendered free of charge.
