Are you ‘O’ so Special?

Come celebrate your blood type with The Newcastle Blood Donor Centre staff on Friday, November 28th from 09:00 – 18:00.

If you know your blood type, we encourage all ‘O’ Group donors to proudly donate on THIS day!

With the festive season on our door step…an increase of accidents, emergencies and operations is imminent…

While ALL blood types is vital at ALL times… ‘O’ is often referred to as our emergency blood!

O Positive can be transfused to all Positive blood types while O Negative can transfused to any patient irrespective of whether they are positive OR negative.

If you would like to donate blood but do not know your blood group… You are more than welcome to donate as well.

Your first blood donation will be tested and you will know, to which group you belong, within a few short days…
