The KFC mini cricket project does a wonderful job in introducing kids to the great sport of cricket

FC Mini-Cricket Tournament was a successful event enjoyed by the learners as well as the parents. The success of the day was attributed to the contributions of many.
A special thank-you to Mecria Baatjies from Inland Cricket, Bonga from the Department of Sport and Recreation, the participating schools’ learners, coaches and managers, Dundee Junior School for the tuckshop, Uelzen Primary School for the refreshments provided, Dundee High School for use of the grounds, Blessing Khumalo, Shawn Theron and Simla Mohabir for co-ordinating the day’s activities.
This was again a chance to introduce a cricket ethos into primary schools and give all the youngsters – not only boys, there were also some girls out there – a chance to bat, bowl and field.
