Valentine’s Day treat for the folk at Shepstone Place
The warm smiles and thanks made carrying the kind deed out such a pleasure
It’s nice to do more than just eat chocolate and be on the receiving end on Valentine’s Day, so on Friday, February 12 the Estcourt News staff took a simpler approach to showing love and kindness.
In an effort to move away from the growing commercialism surrounding Valentine’s Day, like roses, cards and chocolates, they set out to Shepstone Place Home for the Aged to treat the seniors to yummy cupcakes to enjoy with their tea.
The warm smiles and thanks made carrying the kind deed out such a pleasure.
The remaining cupcakes were handed out to and enjoyed by passers-by.
The Estcourt News team would like to thank PicknPay for sponsoring the cupcakes and helping make the day memorable and shine light on the greater meaning behind Valentine’s Day.
The day was loads of fun and enjoyed by all.
