IT may have been wintery weather on Saturday afternoon, but Vryheid Rugby Club’s second team was on fire.
The seconds faced Volksrust in the first match of the afternoon, with the forwards dominating from the start and good, clean ball from the backs, resulting in eleven successful attacks at the try line.
At the final whistle, the visitors could not put more than three points on the board and were decimated by the hosts, 69 – 3 in favour of Vryheid.
