Blue Lions triumph in Derby Day clash with DHS

A day of high temp sport

Sarel Cilliers’ Blue Lions teams roared on the rugby field, netball

court and on the hockey field with their teams not losing a match to old rivals, Dundee High School, in yesterday’s high-tempo Derby Day clash.
Sarel’s first rugby team ran out 39-3 winners – this after the red shirts of DHS had put in a spirited performance but the home team proved too strong at the end.
The under 14 Sarel team romped home 83-0 while the second team drew 3-3 in a nailbiter.
The netball girls of Glencoe were triumphant while the boys hockey teams drew 1-1 in a thriller.
Full scores available shortly. In the end ,it was a great showcase for sportsmanship on and off the field.
Well done our local coaches and teachers.
