Church bazaar proves to be a ‘vet’ success

The tempting aroma of sizzling wors on hot coals blended with that of cinnamon on pancakes, creating an altogether satisfying bazaar atmosphere.

ARBOR PARK – The NG Gemeente Newcastle-Suid bazaar in Arbor Park was the place to be on Friday, March 31.

Vetkoek, curry and rice, hamburgers and wors rolls were just some of the delicious eats on offer.

The tempting aroma of sizzling wors on hot coals blended with that of cinnamon on pancakes, creating an altogether satisfying bazaar atmosphere.

Meat parcels on sale were extremely popular, and oxtail, lamb chops and mouth-watering T-bone steaks were up for grabs.

In a matter of minutes, most food stalls were sold out, and organisers could give themselves a pat on the back, knowing church projects would benefit from the day’s proceeds.
