PICS: Nofta celebrates women’s day in empowerment

The Newcastle Organisation For The Aged (Nofta) in conjunction with its sub-division, Women’s Forum celebrated Women’s Day on August 9 at the Nofta Hall.

Young and old members of the community joined in the celebrations on the day.

Motivational talks by officials from the Newcastle Child Welfare, as well as other organisations, were given on the day.

Senior citizens also entertained the crowds with dance items and song renditions.

Numerous games were played by the women, thereafter each received a prize.

Joyful banter accompanied by a deliciously prepared meal concluded the celebrations.
