GALLERY: A family affair at the Hippo and Goose Festival

As an attempt to enlarge on the fund-raiser, the school's management moved it to Grey Goose to host more activities, and be able to generate more funds on the day.

Newcastillians were in for a treat as the attended the annual Huttenpark Hippo and Goose Family Festival on Saturday, October 21 at Grey Goose Game Lodge.

The festival, usually taking place at the school itself, acted as the school’s biggest fund-raiser of the year.

As an attempt to enlarge on the fund-raiser, the school’s management moved it to Grey Goose to host more activities, and be able to generate more funds on the day.

Families were able to break away from their usual weekend routines, allowing moms and children to enjoy a variety of stalls, activities and the St Dominic’s Marimba Band, while dads got to catch up the rugby Currie Cup semi-finals.

Topping off the day’s festivities was great musical performances by November Bloom, Monica Johnson Mostert and fifth runner up of The Voice SA, Johan ‘Fatman’ Brummer.
