Elderly pampered in the spirit of Madiba
A day of pampering, and spending quality time with the senior members, reiterated the spirit of caring synonymous with Mandela Month.
Ahead of Mandela Day, senior citizens were lovingly pampered.
The Newcastle Organisation For the Aged (Nofta), in conjunction with Nedbank Newcastle hosted a Mandela Day celebration on Sunday (July 14) at the Nofta Service Centre.
Elderly female residents were treated to manicures and pedicures, while the elderly men each received a sleek haircut.
Entertainment was provided by Freddy and Romilla Teeka, who kept the members tapping their manicured feet.

Members enjoyed snacks and refreshments throughout the day, and proceedings concluded with a nutritional meal.
