Utrecht welcomes spring with a social picnic

Utrecht and Newcastle residents were treated to a spring picnic at the Balele Recreation Resort in Utrecht on October 5.

Hosted by Music in Me and supported by the Emadlangeni Municipality, the event saw attendees enjoy the views of the popular dam and a vast amount of wildlife.

Music in Me founder, Sifiso Maseko said they wanted to bring the community together in welcoming spring:

“Our purpose is to get families together and they get to enjoy a day out with kids and friends. We want to promote community participation and engagement, where everyone can share their stories in a happy environment.”

Children enjoyed play time on the jumping castles, while residents were serenaded by the smooth sounds of music.
