The annual Tree of Lights service is a special time to reflect and remember

Locals gathered at Estcourt Hospice House last Friday evening (December 6) for the annual Tree of Lights.

Sharing the flame: Candles being lit while singing ‘Silent Night’.

Christmas carols were sung in unison in the candlelight, before a single candle was lit and the flame passed on, soon there were many candles flickering a little light.

This was done to celebrate the lives of those loved and lost. Then… everyone’s favourite part; the actual lighting of the tree.

Many colourful globes lit up with a soft radiance, and so did the eyes of the onlookers. The evening ended with many photos being taken, followed by refreshments.
