The Newcastle Golf Club Championships took place at Newcastle Golf Club last Saturday (May 23), with members competing for top honours on the fairways and greens.

Golfers enjoyed a day of competitive action, camaraderie and good company before gathering at the clubhouse for the prize-giving ceremony.

Khanyile claims club championship honours

Chris Khanyile emerged as the 2026 Club Champion and winner of the A Division after recording a gross score of 155.

Stephen Shaw secured the B Division title with 168 points, while Jeff Fenton claimed victory in the C Division with 40 points.

Fenton doubles up with seniors victory

Fenton also walked away with the Seniors title after carding a nett score of 68.

Ebert Koorts secured the Best Nett award with an impressive nett score of 145.
