Newcastle may seem like a one-horse-town, with very little to do.
However, you should not always judge a book by its cover, as there is a lot more to do here than you may think.
From family parks to malls and spas, we have you covered with four places where you can relax.

1. Trim Park:

This is a family park catering for both young and old.
Children can enjoy the fun and entertaining equipment while dad grills a steak on the braai.
The park promises to provide hours of endless fun as well as an opportunity for relaxation.

2. A variety of beauty spas:

This small town has a few beauty spas and hair salons, allowing mom her ‘me’ time.

3. Unique shopping malls:

If you are one of those ‘shopping helps me relax’ kind of people, then Newcastle is the perfect place for you!
With a variety of shopping malls, we will have you feeling like a new person in no time. Nothing beats a great day of retail therapy!

4. Oval Track:

This is more for the motor racing enthusiasts coming to visit Newcastle. The Oval Track provides fast cars, entertainment as well as adrenaline-fuelled excitement, all in one.
Bring along your braai and enjoy a lekker wors-broodtjie while appreciating the motor racing.

Champ Marketing & Events is 22 years young

“We need to market our town before we market our clients” – this is the motto of Champ Marketing’s Johan Pieters and Christo van der Vyver.
One of the most important projects they tackled was the “Get Newcastle on the Weather” project. The team held a meeting with a provincial radio station to ensure Newcastle’s weather is mentioned in the daily weather bulletins.
After that, a meeting was held with SA Weather to assist with Newcastle being on the TV and other media weather bulletins.
The team did well, and these days Newcastle is on the majority of all news bulletins or weather maps in printed media.
The R34 Memel Road was a big project driven by Champ Marketing. The project only came to an end after numerous campaigns with different organisations, political leaders and business leaders. The Champ team met with the Provincial Team of the Free State, and a promise was made to rebuild the R34 – Memel Vrede Road. Today, the community of Newcastle and surrounding areas can enjoy the fruits of this well organised Champ Marketing project. When you think about an event, marketing or corporate gifts, you think about Champ Marketing & Events. This young company has vast experience in event organising, from 10 people to thousands of people together. Its clients make use of their creative thinking when it comes to product launches and events. The Champ Team provides corporate gifts, clothing and branding to clients. It is a One-Stop-Marketing-STOP for any company.
The Newcastle Airshow and the Bloodbuddy Memel to Newcastle Walk are two of the biggest annual projects organised and owned by Champ Marketing. The team was also responsible for the National Hot Air Balloon Championships for two years.
