Serving time in jail is no joke, unless you are voluntarily imprisoned for a worthy cause.

CANSA will be hosting its annual Jail and Bail on October 26 at Blackrock Casino. Proceedings will start at 4pm and end at 12pm.

With a target of R 50 000, CANSA is looking at the community for assistance.

Renitha Sukhari-Naidoo, community mobiliser for CANSA, says the association is currently looking for people who can volunteer to be jailed for the event.

“We want to invite companies to participate in the event, but if anyone wants to take part in

Jail and Bail, they can contact us and we can then give the relevant forms to fill out.”

As virtually everyone is susceptible to the disease, supporting the event will ensure a positive difference is made.

All funds raised will be used by CANSA to benefit those struggling with the disease.

Jail and Bail is a part of what CANSA offers, and aims to raise funds to benefit the community,” says Mrs Sukhari-Naidoo.
