Collision after breakdown

The driver of the Mazda allegedly swerved to avoid hitting the goat and crashed into the Getz

A wandering goat caused a collision along Helpmekaar Road on Tuesday afternoon.
A black Corolla was travelling towards Ladysmith from St Chad’s when the vehicle ran out of petrol. A navy-blue Getz came to the Corolla’s rescue with more fuel. The driver of the Getz parked his car along the roadside and walked with the petrol towards the Corolla. A white Mazda from the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development was also travelling towards Ladysmith from St Chad’s when a goat evidently walked into the road. The driver of the Mazda allegedly swerved to avoid hitting the goat and crashed into the Getz. No injuries were sustained and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Public Safety would like to remind the public that it is their responsibility to keep their livestock on their land.
