More success for Treverton athletes

Six representatives from the school were members of the 74-strong PMB Invitation Team that represented KZN at the Grey College Prestige Meeting in Bloemfontein.

Once again, Treverton College athletes have proved that they are among the best in South Africa. Six representatives from the school were members of the 74-strong PMB Invitation Team that represented KZN at the Grey College Prestige Meeting in Bloemfontein.

29 teams participated, coming from the Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State, Eastern Province and Gauteng.

Many of the athletes who take part have their South African colours.

Treverton athletes won three gold medals and two silver medals.

The school’s outstanding Grade ten field athlete Eugh Nyakabau won gold for Long Jump and Triple Jump. Grade eight all-round sportswoman Bophelo Seoe, who was Treverton’s Athlete of the Year at their Inter-House athletics meeting, once along proved how fleet-footed she is when she won a gold for the 200 metres event and a silver of the 100 metre race.

The second silver medal was won by another promising athlete Ayanda Tshuma for triple jump.
