MICHAELIS School’s tennis season came to a close with the German Schools’ Tennis Tournament. Once again the original date had to be moved, due to the rain, and the next scheduled day was a sweltering hot one.
An African Grey who lost his way arrived at the courts and entertained the players.
To keep him out of the heat, a cage was organised and we are hoping the owner will come forward to claim him (contact Brigitte at Michaelis).
The players had lots of fun. Despite the heat, the children gave of their best and played lovely tennis.
Thank you to Wittenberg School who hosted the tournament and congratulations to them as they were the overall winners of the tournament.
The Vryheid Lawn Tennis Court also needs a special word of thanks for letting us play on their courts.
