Woonga smoking thieves caught at mall

Two men were arrested last night (Thursday) at the Murchison Mall for attempted car-breaking.

While emergency personnel were attending to a woman who had been stabbed along the La Verna shortcut, two men attempted to break into a bakkie in the mall parking lot. Security at the mall managed to catch one of them.

The security officers walked the man they had caught to the Public Safety officer who was attending to the stabbing incident. A search of the suspect turned up drugs in the form of ‘Woonga’. While the man was being searched, police arrived at the scene with a second suspect they had caught in Murchison Street while looking for the three young men involved in the stabbing.
