Police find missing children

The two young children who were reported missing have been found.

Jason Hansen (13) and his friend Rudolf Bothmia (8) were dropped off at the De Franca’s Spar parking area in Francis Road yesterday morning. They were to visit friends who stay nearby.

The parents beileved the children were only going to be there until 12pm. Unknown to them, the children had decided that they would sleep over. The elder boy left his cell phone at home and so the parents were unable to contact him.

They were officially reported missing today. Social media has been going crazy with this story in the hope that the children would be found.

The young boys were found by W/O Pretorius, Sgt Landman and Sgt Potas.

Police located the children by tracing the parents of the friend. The friend’s parents were unaware that the two visiting boys were supposed to return home and not sleep over.

Police fetched the children from the friend’s house and returned them home.
