Kerike Fick has found the right formula to earning top marks.

Kerike achieved a total of 8 A symbols and one B, making her the top matriculant of Ferrum High School.

“I am very sad about the B I got for Maths Paper 3. I only missed it [A] by about 1 per cent,” said Kerike, as she chatted animatedly about her plans for the future and her experiences during the past year.

“It wasn’t so difficult for me. Grade 11 was a lot harder,” she said. “This year was fun, I really enjoyed it.”

Kerike applied at no fewer than four universities to study medicine, but was unfortunately not successful.

“I still hope to study medicine one day. For now, I am going to Stellenbosch University to study Human Life Sciences and Psychology. I am really looking forward to going. It’s going to be a great challenge,” she said.

With her dedication and determination, Kerike is sure to succeed in whatever she sets her heart on.

We wish her all the best for the future.
