Treverton Prep’s U10 cricket team is an experienced group of players who have been playing together as a team since Grade one.
The composition of the team is unique; in addition to the group of boys who bat and bowl there are two girls.
Rachael Schulze and Lisa Beddy have been playing with their male counterparts for the past three years and have proved that they deserve their place on the team, showing skills with ball, bat and on the field.
In their match against a team in Greytown, in sweltering heat, the team made 135 runs, without losing any wickets.
The young cricketers showed their skill when they limited their opposition to 53 runs for six wickets.
